Meet Jim Carlin

I am a husband, father, grandfather, and a Christian. I am also an Army veteran, an Iowa attorney, and a former state legislator in both the Iowa House and Senate, who has spent a career standing up for Iowans and upholding the God-given rights secured to us by the Constitution. I built my career fighting for Iowans — in the courtroom and in the Iowa Legislature. I fought government overreach, defended individual liberty, and exposed corruption that hurt our veterans. I stood up for seniors, protected Iowa’s schoolchildren from radical gender ideology, and worked to keep government accountable to the people it serves. Today, the American middle class is under unprecedented pressure.
Families face higher prices, growing debt, and shrinking opportunity.

I believe marriage is between one man and one woman. I believe our rights come from God — not government. And I am running to advance the values of the MAGA–MAHA coalition and preserve the American legacy we owe our children and grandchildren.
