PLEDGE TO IOWA

Dear Fellow Iowans,

I love this country. I love this state. And I don’t believe you—or the ones you love—are being represented in Washington, D.C.

That’s why I’m stepping up to run in the Republican primary against Senator Joni Ernst. Because I believe Iowa—and America—deserve a true conservative voice in the U.S. Senate.

I’m proud to be an unapologetic supporter of President Donald Trump. I saw long ago that America was headed for an iceberg. Today, that’s no longer a warning—it’s a collision we’re living through. A $36 trillion national debt. 20% inflation. Healthcare costs that have tripled. Open borders. Hundreds of billions sent to Ukraine while our own citizens are struggling.

Meanwhile, our working-class families, small businesses, farmers, and the elderly are being crushed under the weight of federal overreach and economic mismanagement. Instead of being protected by their government, the American people are being threatened by it—financially, culturally, and politically.

We must confront a hard truth: Who is really governing us?

Because it sure isn’t the people we elect.

We’ve seen massive concentration of power—on Wall Street, in Big Tech, Big Ag, Big Pharma, and the military-industrial complex. And while these sectors have consolidated, so has our federal government. The result? What we once believed to be a two-party system has revealed itself as something far more dangerous: a Uniparty.

Bought. Paid for. And unaccountable.

And yes—Joni Ernst is part of that machine.

Once promising to “make ’em squeal,” she’s instead made deals. According to the Heritage Foundation, Senator Ernst votes with the conservative position just 42% of the time—less than Bernie Sanders. Let that sink in: the man who openly calls himself a socialist beats our sitting Republican Senator on key freedom issues.

Joni Ernst didn’t reach across the aisle. She moved there.

That’s not the kind of leadership we need—not in times like these.

I’ve spent my career fighting the establishment. In the Iowa House, the Iowa Senate, and as founder of the Iowa Liberty Network, I’ve worked to elect bold, unapologetic conservatives. I believe in the vision of our Founders and the promise of our Constitution—that our rights come from God, not government, and that this nation should remain of the people, by the people, and for the people.
I’m running for U.S. Senate because I believe Iowa deserves a Senator who will fight for liberty—not sell it to the highest bidder. I’m running because I believe we still have a Republic worth defending. And I’m running because I know, with your help, we can take it back.

Let’s send a message loud and clear to Washington: Iowa’s not for sale—and neither are we.

In liberty,
Jim Carlin
Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate
America First. Iowa Always.
